Despite not showing obvious signs of injury or distress, taking care of one's mental health should also be a priority in people's lives. Since the onset of the pandemic in 2020, the number of people suffering from mental disorders and illnesses has risen significantly, particularly cases of anxiety, depression and burnout. With this in mind, the White January campaign, established in 2014, seeks to raise awareness among the public and promote the importance of mental health care.

In Multiplan's malls, there are different spaces designed to attend to and care for the minds of visitors. One of them is Multiser - Center for Psychotherapy and Emotion Management, located in RibeirãoShopping, in São Paulo. The venue hosts meetings and facilitates self-knowledge activities and dynamics to encourage reflection and the resolution of external issues with the assistance of a professional.

Another project is the Advanced Center for Research, Study, and Diagnosis (CAPED) located in RibeirãoShopping. The space, located within the mall's Medical Center, promotes education, research and innovation in cooperation with national and international health organizations. The center has approved studies underway in different phases of clinical research and contributes to Brazilian and foreign research.

Another locale designed for people with neurodiversity in times of crisis is the Sala do Bem. Here, a specialized team helps to reduce the effects of the crisis through sensory stimulation. This allows the visitor to reorganize in a more private and secure environment. This room can be found at ParkShoppingCampoGrande in Rio de Janeiro.

At ParkShopping, in Brasília, there are some relaxation and massage centers, such as Majô Beauty, Lilly Estética, Doctor Feet, Alexandre Viana, Adcos, and Unique academy. After all, care of body and mind go hand-in-hand.

Learning to recognize the warning signs can save lives. Diagnosis is the first step to treatment, which may include medication, therapy or other lifestyle modifications. Seek help and remember: taking care of your mental health is taking care of your life!
