Multiplan introduced on October 16 the Beta version of the operation of a marketplace within WhatsApp, a pilot project developed in partnership with Delivery Center. With the initiative, Multiplan is moving towards integrating its Multi superapp into the messaging app. The new channel concentrates hundreds of establishments under a single of WhatsApp number (11 4005-1533) and represents Brazil's first marketplace by geolocation on this platform.
The new service allows the simple and quick interaction between the end consumer and brands through WhatsApp. Upon sending a message with his/her location, the customer receives a digital menu of operations that are available in the region in which they are located with delivery within one hour.
In this first stage, in partnership with the Anota.AI startup, the marketplace has 700 food operations in 36 cities throughout the country, including the main capitals, part of operations located in Multiplan's malls. The service is scheduled to be expanded to other cities by the end of the year, as well as including more restaurants and other segments.
With the launch of the project, Multiplan has progressed in its digital transformation project. It is taking the first steps to integrate the various features of Multi with WhatsApp. Multi is the superapp used by the Company's malls to provide clients with greater conveniences and another sales channel for retailers, always user-centric.
