Multi App Launches Click & Pickup Delivery Service

The super app Multi has just introduced a new feature: Click & Pickup. With it, clients can make online purchases and pick up their orders in a smart locker in the mall in just 45 minutes and without shipping costs. The service aims to make the consumer journey even more enjoyable, practical and full of good experiences, strengthening Multiplan's omnichannel strategy.

The project ia being launched at BarraShopping, in Rio de Janeiro, and is available for non-perishable product categories and in sizes that match the size of the lockers (36cmx36x45cm). It is expected that, in the coming months, it will be implemented in other Multiplan shopping centers

Other features of the Multi super app allow shopping for food and goods from malls with delivery, services, movie tickets, Lápis Vermelho offers and information about stores, restaurants, and medical offices, with the ability to call to schedule appointments directly - all even before reaching the mall.

 

How to Use the Multi super app's Click & Pickup Service?

The products available for this mode of delivery have the indication "Available for pickup at the Shopping Center."

- In the order confirmation screen, just select the option "I want to make the pickup from the Mall's locker." Upon completion of the purchase, the customer will receive an email containing the order number and a password. 

- Within 45 minutes, the order will be available in the mall 's smart locker at no extra charge.

- To withdraw the order, just touch the locker screen, enter the data sent by email, touch the green button and the door will open.

- The customer has up to 48 hours to pick up the product.

 

According to José Isaac Peres, Multiplan's CEO and founder, the new service represents another step towards the mall of the future. “We believe technology in the shopping center universe only broadens and enhances the experience of our consumers - and they are the big focus of our business,” he says. “Click & Pickup gives our customers more convenience and speed, now with the opportunity to shop remotely, dine and go to the movies without carrying bags and can still pick up before leaving,” he adds.

Daniel Peres Chor, Multiplan's Director of Innovation, believes that the service makes the group's customers' daily lives even easier and "is a project we believe in a lot, because of the consumption trends we have been following. It's part of a worldwide movement that unites the online and offline universes for our users to experience. The service is also a solution for consumers who have delivery restrictions or who want to consolidate their purchases at a single point of pickup for their trip to the mall."

To optimize the integration of the Multi app, logistics operation, Multiplan entered into a partnership with Delivery Center — a company with which it recently announced an association and whose focus is to facilitate the participation in electronic retail, a channel that in 2018 had approximately R$ 53.2 billion in sales, according to eBit. With this operation, the company began offering its retailers a new layer of services, giving stores the possibility of acting as a distribution center for e-commerce, marketplaces and other digital channels, optimizing store inventories and making express deliveries possible.
