Shopping Center places first in the "Design and Development: New Projects and Sustainable Design" category
 
VillageMall has received another important international award. The mall won the gold prize in the "Design and Development: New Projects and Sustainable Design" category from RECon Latin America in 2014, an event promoted by the ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers).
 
The selection can be attributed to innovative architectural design, featuring 8,000 m2 Low E glass, which does not retain heat and, thus, reduces consumption of air conditioning while generating energy efficiencies. VillageMall also has a water reuse system, automatic flushing mechanisms, a green roof, automated irrigation, and a huge skylight that enhances the natural ambient light, allowing mall goers to enjoy the sky.
