Vacation: attractions for all ages in Multiplan's malls

The holiday period at Multiplan's shopping centers offer lots of fun and entertainment for the kids. A series of events, some of them free, begin as of January. Check out some highlights of the programming below.

In São Paulo, the ShoppingVilaOlímpia is putting on the "Discovery Kids - It's Brazil" exhibition from January 12-29. The activity is free of charge and geared for children of all ages. Featuring lots of fun, kids can embark on a journey of knowledge and enjoyment with the channel’s Doki and his gang and Floogals animated characters. The exhibition promotes interactivity by unveiling Brazil through education, addressing topics such as healthy eating, the environment and Brazilian flora and fauna.

ShoppingAnáliaFranco, is presenting the Lemonade Experience from January 11 to 29, designed to entertain and bring people into closer proximity with technology by means of interactive experiments about the principles of technology and robotics. Virtual Reality Stations, Ground and Air Drones, Cubelets Robotics, Moss Robotics, Memory Game and Osmo Tangram are interactions that drive the senses in a playful, surprising and technological way. The attractions are suitable for children as of one year of age and adults of all ages who are interested in technologies that will be part of the routines of the new generations. 

Young chefs already have their fun guaranteed in ParkShoppingSãoCaetano. Between January 6 and 29, the Pizzeria activity will host children from 4 to 12 for a free gastronomic moment. In a scenario simulating a traditional pizzeria, the small fry receive pasta dough and make their own pizzas. While they wait for the pizza to be heated up, they can customize a beautiful chef's hat as a souvenir. All the cooked pizzas will be identified and delivered at the end of the activity for children to take home and share with their families.

In RibeirãoShopping, the second largest traveling Ferris wheel in Latin America is one of the holiday attractions available. As of January 7, adults and children can enjoy themselves and experience an incredible panoramic view. Approximately 30 meters tall and with 20 closed cabins with capacity for six people each, the Ferris wheel is equipped with LED lighting, providing a true show of colors. Another attraction that offers even more fun this early in the year is the Holiday Safari exhibition, with replicas of real-size animals that move and make sounds. The attraction will be available from January 13 to March 5.

The mall will also have a freezing attraction this summer. Iceland Drinks & Fun, 100% made from ice from the sofa to the walls, opens to the public in late January. Adults and children eight years and older can enjoy different entertaining moments in an environment constituted of 12 tons of ice. Entrance is R$ 40, with the right to visit the locale and a Swiss hot chocolate or vodka-laced Ice Shot. For children eight to 17, the ticket costs R$ 30, with the right to a hot chocolate drink.

In Rio de Janeiro, VillageMall features a color- and flavor-filled culinary workshop between January 11 and February 5. In the Small Great Chefs activity, children can unleash their imaginations in the kitchen with easy, quick and delicious recipes. The preparation begins in a mini-market specially set up for the attraction, where participants can choose the ingredients for the dish-of-the-day. Next, they head over to an authentic chef's counter to prepare the delicacies with the help of trained instructors. Finally, they test the recipes on their families and receive a personalized gift, attesting to their participation in the activity. The workshop is free for children from four- to 12-years-old.

A giant polka dot pool will enchant and catch the attention of both kids and adults passing through BarraShopping from January 13 to March 9. The beautiful and fun-filled complex on the Lagoon level in front of Gate I of the shopping center contains 230 m2 and equipped with seven slides — one of which is six meters high with a 30-meter descent, and a gigantic pool containing more than 200,000 little colored balls. Entry is R$ 15 and allows 15 minutes use of the amusement.

Also during the month of January, the program for the Children's World BarraShopping is chock full of free activities, such as theater and drawing, painting and clay shaping workshops. The event is always on Sundays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the seventh expansion area, Lagoon level. The schedule includes Peter Pan (Jan. 8), The Tree of Joy (Jan. 15), Magic Drakyni (Jan. 22) and Stories to Put Cattle To Sleep (Jan. 29).

From January 6, children will be able to draw up a storm in the world of color and creativity that is ParkShoppingCampoGrande's promotion with Casa Crayola. The free activity will taker place in the mall's main entrance, and runs until February 1. The program is geared for children aged one to 12, with many Crayola branded pens, coloring pencils, crayons and colored chalks and super inks, products that are washable and non-toxic at their disposition. Among the most popular attractions will be painting sidewalks and drawing on walls.

From January 9, the ParkShopping in Brasilia will put fearsome beasts on display that are part of the The Age of Dragons exhibition. The whole family will want to see these huge animals that are part of the popular imagination worldwide up close. The free attraction brings together no less than 10 animatronic dragons (that move and make sounds); some are nearly six meters high. The attraction runs until February 12.

In Belo Horizonte, the now traditional and keenly awaited BH On Ice skating rink is back at BH Shopping as of January 24. Twice the size of previous editions - a rink of 380 m2 - and with 165 pairs of skates available, the attraction is on the Ouro Preto floor of the mall and will be open until March 26. Skating sessions can last 30 or 60 minutes (R$ 40 and R$ 60, respectively). In all days and times, ice sleigh rides also will be available, lasting five minutes each (R$ 20).

In the Savassi Patio amphitheater, as of January 6 and running through the month will be eight children's plays, part of the 43rd Theatre and Dance Popularization Campaign organized by the Union of Performing Arts Producers of Minas Gerais (Sinparc). Tickets go on sale as of January 5.

In the January 10-February 4 period, DiamondMall receives an interactive and unprecedented exhibition in Minas Gerais: XPERIENCE - Science and Entertainment. Adults and children will discover the wonders of science through interactive devices, an attraction that is free of charge. In a colorful and entertaining setting, visitors can get to know, explore and experience 19 devices. Among them is the Van de Graaff generator - a scientific experiment created by Robert Jemison Van de Graaff in 1929. The hair of anyone who touches the electrostatic sphere will stand on end due to the electric charge.

At ParkShoppingBarigüi in Curitiba, mini-golf is the entertainment option for kids and adults during the holiday period. Between January 15 and February 28, the mall's visitors can enjoy the Mini Golf Course set up in the central square. There are eleven holes, one for learning, nine within the course itself and a bonus "Hole in One," good fun for the entire family. Children as of four can play and there is no age limit. A complete round costs R$ 20 per person.
