With the objective of stimulating the practice of physical and sports activities, from May 13-14 ParkShoppingCampoGrande and ParkJacarepaguá, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), hosted Arena Sesc RJ+Esportes, a free event involving sports circuits. The spaces offered skateboarding rinks and volleyball, footvolley, sand soccer, 3x3 basketball and futsal courts that will be open to the public, both for classes and free use. The initiative is a partnership between Multiplan and the RedeSesc+Sports project, which for the first time is in Rio de Janeiro's capital and shopping centers.
The structures and professional equipment, which will remain in the malls until July 17, will also be the stage for national and international championships in some of the sports. Celebrities such as Bernardinho, Giovane Gávio (volleyball), Leandro Discreto (3x3 basketball), Felipe Nunes, Luizinho, Rui Muleque (skateboarding), Léo Lindoso (futsal), Anderson Águia (footvolley), Neném (sand soccer), Álvaro Filho and Evandro (beach volley) will take part in sports clinics for the youngsters. At ParkShoppingCampoGrande there will also be sports initiation and physical conditioning classes, such as gymnastics, functional circuit and stretching.
"Sesc RJ understands sports as an inducer for social inclusion and a powerful tool to spread principles such as solidarity, cooperation, and respect for others, besides providing many health benefits. Therefore, we seek to be closer to the population through sports circuits in public or partner spaces, enhancing what we already do in our fixed units," explains Fernando Silva, director of Social Programs at Sesc RJ.
"Multiplan believes in the importance of social actions in the community and in having sports as one of the most effective ways to promote development and provide entertainment to the population. Therefore, we made a point of supporting the Arena Sesc RJ+Esportes and made the spaces at ParkShoppingCampoGrande and ParkJacarepaguá available for the activities," said Gabriel Palumbo, Multiplan's Regional Director.
