Multiplan's malls offer new health and wellness activities

Going to a Multiplan shopping center is much more than just a consumption experience. In addition to a very complete and premium mix of stores and services, the company's projects are increasingly offering health and wellness options. And sports activities are among the experiences that have been gathering momentum.

At  ShoppingVilaOlímpia, in São Paulo (SP), the highlight is the recently inaugurated Estação Vila Olímpia, a sandy court to practice the current favorite sport in São Paulo, Beach Tennis. The new space, located on the 2nd floor of the mall, has an area of 900m² and offers a schedule of classes and activities for amateur or professional players, aged 12 and up. In addition, until May 31 customers can enjoy the Space Roller, a 160m² space for skating on wheels, with neon lights and background music to cheer on those who are on the track. Later this year, the mall will also inaugurate an ice-skating rink.

ShoppingAnáliaFranco, also in São Paulo (SP), inaugurated the Space Roller ice-skating rink  in January of this year in a disco atmosphere that was installed in the mall during the school vacations at the beginning of the year. In May, the mall will organize its traditional Track&Field Run Series Race.

Also in São Paulo, MorumbiShopping offers, from time to time, an ice-skating rink with more than 240m² and capacity for 45 people.

BarraShopping, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), in partnership with Cia Athletica, an academy located inside the mall, gives clients the option of open classes and training sessions with the unit's teachers. Another sports choice is bowling, at Barra Bowling, located on the 3rd floor. There are 20 lanes available for the entire family. In addition, the development inaugurated, in 2016, the first NBA store in Brazil, a true meeting point for basketball buffs.

ParkJacarepaguá, also in Rio de Janeiro, has a permanent ice skating rink and provides practical classes for the public. The mall also has a Smart Fit gym.

After the reinauguration of the Arena do Park that offers free courts for sports practice, ParkShopping Canoas, in Porto Alegre (RS), now brings new sport modalities to the clients, such as paid Beach Tennis, footvolley and functional training classes in partnership with RS Gestão Esportiva. Soon, students will also be able to enjoy beach volleyball. For running aficionados, the mall recently launched the Park Run group, which has a tent as a free support point for hydration and socializing for the athletes to meet. The mall also has a permanent ice-skating rink that offers classes for customers. The arena is the largest in Brazil, with 750m² that includes bleachers and a 450m² rink.

ParkShoppingBarigüi, in Curitiba (PR), promotes the Sunday Funday, on Sundays, with outdoor sports events, such as yoga, meditation, skating for children and functional gymnastics classes. The mall also boasts a unit of the Cia Athletica gym that periodically holds fitness classes for the clients. The academy is also taking part in the Sunday Funday, with parkour and other classes taught reknown personal trainers. In addition, the mall's Events Plaza has hosted sports attractions, such as an ice rink during the winter and the PkB Climb Up, a climbing wall, as well as other activities for children and adults. The mall also holds, annually, the Track&Field Run Series race, with the start at the mall and the course inside Parque Barigüi.

At BH Shopping, in Belo Horizonte (MG), the clients can count on a Smart Fit gym unit inside the mall. In addition, the mall has already held 13 editions of the Track&Field Run Series Race and two editions of Ride 4 Life, an indoor cycling event.
