Multiplan's malls deliver Christmas solidarity action donations

To multiply the magic of Christmas and help different institutions, Multiplan's shopping malls introduced solidarity actions during the month of December 2020. Customers who visited BarraShopping, VillageMall, ParkShoppingCampoGrande (RJ), BH Shopping, DiamondMall, Pátio Savassi (MG), ParkShopping (DF), ParkShoppingBarigüi (PR), ShoppingAnáliaFranco and RibeirãoShopping (SP) were able to bring joy to children and adults through the donations.

ShoppingAnáliaFranco in São Paulo set up a space to receive donations of clothes, blankets, shoes or non-perishable food to help make Christmas for many people a better season. In total, the mall collected more than 3,000 items, including clothes, shoes and accessories and toys, to be sent to BOMPAR - Centro Social Nossa Senhora do Bom Parto. RibeirãoShopping, in Ribeirão Preto (SP), featured a “Solidarity Tree” and helped more than 150 people with donations for kids assisted by the Frasol children's defense entity and elderly people from the “Lar Ombro Amigo” community.

In Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, BH Shopping, DiamondMall and Pátio Savassi promoted the Árvore do Bem (Goodwill Tree) social project. BH Shopping collected 1,642 toys, which were delivered to 14 institutions assisted by the Jornada do Menor charity. Pátio Savassi helped five institutions (Tia Dolores Day Care, Casa Lucas, Lar da Vovó, Novo Ceú Institution and Irmão Sol) and 139 people were rewarded with more than 100 Christmas donations received during the program. DiamondMall collected gifts to donate to children and the elderly from eight entities (Abrigo Cirandinha, Aura Foundation, Caminhos para Jesus, Sara Support House, Colmeia, Baleia Hospital, Ciame Flamenfo and Lar dos Idosos São José).

ParkShopping, in the Federal District, prepared a train station and allocated 10% of the amount collected from the ticket sales for riding on the electric train to the Casa de Ismael social institution. Through the action, the enterprise raised R$17.339,00 reais that will help the organization improve the quality of life of the assisted children, teens and their families who are in situations of risk and social vulnerability, with care, education, preparation and training for the labor market.

In Rio de Janeiro, BarraShopping collected 485 toy donations that were earmarked to help those assisted by three institutions: INPAR, LACAY and APAS. Also in Rio, and in partnership with the Children's Institute, VillageMall and ParkShoppingCampoGrande created a special setting to receive donations of new toys. The donations were delivered to the NGOs Casa Arte Vida e Gasco and more than 130 children were benefited.

In Curitiba (PR), as is its tradition, ParkShoppingBarigüi installed a Solidarity Fountain as part of its Yuletide decoration. Customers can perform the classic ritual of tossing a coin into the fountain and making a wish. In total, the mall raised R$ 1,000 for the "Give a chance” project, which serves underprivileged communities. In addition, in partnership with the Social Action Foundation (FAS), the city of Curitiba and the Paraná Volunteer Program (Provopar) run by the government of Paraná, ParkShoppingBarigüi served as a collection point for clothing, food and hygiene products and cleaning for donation to the two entities and transferred more than 550 kg of food and about 4,500 pieces of clothing and footwear to the assisted families.
