The Brazilian Forum of Shopping Center happened on February 13th, in Sao Paulo. The state governor, Geraldo Alckmin, opened the seminar, which discussed the opportunities in the area and its perspectives for growth in the next decade. The central topic was "The challenges of the shopping center industry expansion in Brazil during the coming years".
One of the discussions panel was "Digital Consumer - challenges and opportunities that digital consumer generates", including Rodrigo Peres, marketing director of Multiplan, as one of the speakers. Beyond that, the Brazilian Forum of Shopping Centers honored Brazilian companies and cases with the Lide Malls Award 2014, as well as big names in Retail. One of the honorees was Jose Isaac Peres, Multiplan’s president.
The forum is held by LIDE (Group Leaders for Companies), chaired by Joao Doria Jr., and LIDE TRADE, led by Marcos Gouvea de Souza, CEO of GS&MD, a leading expert in Brazilian retail trade.
