On the day of Non-Violence Against Women, November 25, Multiplan inaugurated the "Women's Space" at the NewYorkCityCenter, dedicated exclusively to assist women who have suffered some type of domestic violence. The new service center is an initiative of the State Women's Coordination Body (COEM) and the Rio de Janeiro State Court of Justice, through the VII Court of Domestic Violence, in partnership with the Company and the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association).
In the center, the only one in the city's West Zone, women will be assisted and welcomed by volunteer lawyers, who will render service that is humanized, confidential and totally free of charge. After orientation by the team, protective measures can be taken online at the Court of Justice's website, and forwarded to the court of Barra da Tijuca or, depending on the origin of the case, to any other court in the city.
The ceremony was attended by Vander Giordano, Multiplan Institutional Vice President, Cíntia Souto Machado de Andrade Guedes, Judge of the VII Court of Domestic and Family Violence against Women of Barra da Tijuca, Sandra Motta, President of the Special Commission to Combat Domestic Violence of the OAB Barra da Tijuca, Caroline Bussato, Advisor of the Presidency of Caixa Econômica Federal and Marcus Soares, President of OAB Barra da Tijuca.
The location is open on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the shopping center's underground parking lot.
