In solidarity with the battle against the Coronavirus, Multiplan has just donated 10,000 antigen tests for the detection of the disease, delivered to the City of Rio de Janeiro by the Children's Institute. The donation is part of the União Rio Movement, which already has distributed more than 1 million Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) bundles to the health area, to be used to test health professionals who care for COVID-19 patients.
This week, 800 detection tests that are part of the batch were delivered to the Jesus Municipal Hospital, in the north zone of Rio de Janeiro. The antigen tests show results in about 20 minutes, with greater precision than the rapid tests previously used.
This is another Multiplan initiative to support the country's health sector. In addition to this donation, the company carried out other actions and fundraising campaigns throughout the pandemic period, such as the purchase and distribution of masks and rapid tests for the detection and participation in the signing of a collaboration agreement with the government of Rio de Janeiro, through ABRASCE, so that the state’s malls are used for COVID-19 vaccine application at drive-thru locations.
Multiplan's malls are controlled environments and the company remains committed to disclosing the importance of the mandatory wearing of masks, in addition to maintaining the safety protocol, which includes temperature measurement at entrances, gel alcohol at various points and enhanced hygiene measures.
