Patron of the 21st Ribeirão Preto International Book Fair, the president and founder of Multiplan, José Isaac Peres was honored in the exhibition “Scarecrows," which runs from August 17-30, in the hanging garden of RibeirãoShopping. The exhibition is part of the fair's program, and through new productions by local artists and works by Odila Mestriner, it retraces the real estate entrepreneur's early career.

The opening ceremony took place on Thursday, August 17, and was attended by Multiplan's Vice President of Institutional Relations, Vander Giordano.

Multiplan is proud to support events that encourage culture, stimulate creativity and make a positive impact on society.

"I am happy and flattered with the invitation to be the patron of the fair, especially because it is such an important project for Ribeirão Preto, and that Multiplan, through RibeirãoShopping, has supported for years," said José Isaac Peres, whose story and connection with the region and the scarecrow figure is recounted in the exhibition.

FIL 2022 takes place from August 20-28, in a hybrid format - returning to the model from before the pandemic and synchronizing new technologies at the service of the digital audience - and brings together more than 200 activities including ideas rooms, storytelling sessions, musical concerts, performances, debates and a variety of workshops, contemplating audiences of all ages. It also counts on the presence of national and international authors, in a real walk through of the books distributed in various corners of RibeirãoShopping. The entire program is free of charge and the complete schedule is available on the fair's website.

In addition to honoring José Isacc Peres, founder of Mulitplan, the 21st FIL will also pay tribute to writers Ariano Suassuna and authors Carolina Maria de Jesus, Daniel Munduruku, Magda Soares, João Augusto and teacher Isabel Cassanta.
