Project brings together designers and contemporary artisans, coworking, coffee, musical presentations, workshops and children's attractions
In a pioneering shopping center initiative, MorumbiShopping inaugurated on November 5 the Colletive Space: a 1,500 m² area focused on culture, art, experiences and conviviality.
The project, which emerged after three successful editions of the Mercado Manual at MorumbiShopping, hosted for its opening the first and largest store-experience featuring the city's contemporary craftsmanship: the Casa Manual. It's an unprecedented partnership between MorumbiShopping and the Manual Network.
"With an investment of four million reais, the new space was developed following the trends that determine the shopping center of the future, which proposes fluidity, natural light, well-being and differentiated activities for customers. We want to constantly encourage creative entrepreneurship and ethical consumption," says Doris Weinberg, Multiplan's Regional Director for São Paulo.
The launching of this space promises to be a milestone in the history of the malls and the work of craftsmen, as the initiative proposes a new client experience inside a shopping center. During the first three months, for example, about 100 projects focused on conscious consumption linked to fashion, beauty and well-being, design, jewelry and children's universe will be presented. In fact, kids have gained the ÊreLab space, developed exclusively for the project. The Colletivo Space + Casa Manual will also feature renowned handicraft workshops, as well as shows and extensive programming.
What's there? Mounted in the middle of green islands, on the ground floor of the mall, the new space also has benches for resting, rocking chairs, large group-use tables and others that can be used for work. There is also free wi-fi, a children's library, and an in-room coffee shop will serve cakes, breads and other handmade delicacies, including vegan options.
Among the exhibitors at Casa Manual will be fashion, beauty, ceramic, jewelry and decoration brands. For the fashion and jewelry section, some of the confirmed exhibitors are: Arterio, Amapô, Greta, Flats and Catarina Mina; in design and décor, Casa Dobra, Wet and Wood, Plume Estúdio Plume, Duo Solo, Carmine e Noni SP; for beauty and well-being, there will be Terral, Primeira Folha, Realindo and AhoAloe; and for kids, Amapô Kids, Ju Amora, Nó & Nó e Calu Rosa. Finally, Douceur of Céu, Pimentas&Pitadas, Taste Me!, Kiro and O Cabral are in the emporium. There will also be a food court hat will house the RUAA and UBA restaurants, with healthy dishes made for Casa Manual.
"Spreading the handmade culture, through the sale of artisan products in a mall linked to knowledge and entertainment (workshops and shows) is an initiative that is unprecedented in Brazil. This opportunity will be great for the Manual - certainly a turning point for our Network and for MorumbiShopping itself," says Karine Rossi, founding partner of the Manual Network.
