Commercial commemorates Multiplan’s presence in Rio de Janeiro

To celebrate its presence in the West Zone of Rio, a region it helped consolidate and develop, Multiplan, which is one of the country’s largest shopping center industry companies, is launching an institutional campaign that promotes the convenience and sophistication offered by its malls. Starring actress Camila Morgado, the commercial was scheduled to debut on Sunday, Jan. 15, on Fantástico, aired by TV Globo. The commercial will also be shown on the GloboNews cable channel. A 90-second spot, the campaign was created by Mood Rio agency and produced by Conspiração Filmes, directed by Mini Kerti.
 
The investment cycle in Barra, which began in 1981 with the opening of BarraShopping, originated the largest integrated shopping complex in the country. Also including the New York City Center, Business Center and BarraShopping VillageMall, the complex currently has a total of 1.2 km facing Avenue das Américas and parking for 8,000 vehicles, plus covered areas totaling 500,000 m².
 
"When we opened BarraShopping, Barra da Tijuca was a great beach region. We invested in the area and today we are proud to have contributed to having made it the main city development vector and the area that receives more investments in Rio today," says the president of Multiplan, José Isaac Peres.
 
In addition to the shops, entertainment areas and culture, the projects offer facilities to customers, such as a medical center, banks and public services. They are all connected by a walkway or free shuttle service that takes them to another mall in comfort and safety.
 
Operating 38 years in Rio de Janeiro, Multiplan’s portfolio contains 18 shopping centers with more than 4,700 stores, about 164 million consumers a year and gross leasable area (GLA) of 757,201 m².
