One of the most anticipated festive dates of the year, carnival arrives with all of its exhilaration in Multiplan's malls. The activity schedule includes a number of free attractions, such as workshops, children's balls, photo booths and storytelling.
For the third consecutive year, MorumbiShopping, in São Paulo (SP), puts on "Neon Carnival" with an intense schedule. Between March 2 and 5, there are workshops for the preparation of carnival decorations; dressing rooms to prepare individual looks with colorful hairspray; make neon; temporary tattoos and a photo booth equipped with black light, as well as band performances with carnival march music.
On March 3 and 5, ShoppingVilaOlímpia, also in the city of São Paulo, has organized another edition of Afternoons on the Terrace - Children's Carnival. With free admission, children can enjoy the celebration atmosphere with lots of music and workshops that encourage creativity. Based on the theme "My First Trio,” the mall features costume customization and facial painting workshops. And the fun will be even more complete when a small sound truck ushers the young revelers through the corridors of the mall up to the traditional "Terrace Mini Carnival Ball."
At ShoppingAnáliaFranco, also in São Paulo, the fun takes place in the Carnival Dressing room in the Orquídea floor corridor. With the participation of shopkeepers, the kids can dress and put on make-up to leave the mall directly for street carnival parade groups. In addition, they can also decorate colorful cups and take them along as souvenirs.
To a frenzied dance rhythm, ParkShoppingSãoCaetano in São Caetano do Sul (SP), has kids carnival balls scheduled for March 3 and 5 along with workshops for children. The program is in the Tom Jobim Ceramic Space Park and is free for the whole family. In workshops, kids will be able to customize their own carnival costumes with ribbons, colored glues and sequins. A live band will raise the roof at the children's ball to ensure a great time for the kids. In addition, the event features "CarnaCão, where pet owners can also create fun accessories for their dogs.
BarraShopping, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), hosts the carnival Sintonia e Folia children's ball, put on by the Sintonia Domino theater and music group on March 3. The event is free to all mall visitors. In addition to the show, the lounge at Entrance A (Americas level, new expansion) also hosts a mask customization workshop.
ParkShoppingCampoGrande, also in Rio, is promoting a children's ball on March 2, 3 and 4 with the right to shows, costumes, presentations of samba schools and a food court. The event includes the presentation of circus artists, face painting, canvases for free drawing and many other attractions. In partnership with the SESC Mesa Brasil project, which is a nationwide network of food banks to counter hunger and waste, anyone attending the Children's Ball can donate up to 2kg of non-perishable foodstuffs, such as rice, beans or pasta. All food collected will be forwarded to the project.
RibeirãoShopping will put on for the first time in Ribeirão Preto (SP) a Kids event (Micareta) on March 3 and 5, Sunday and Tuesday of Carnival. The event is free, kicking off in the mall's Suspended Garden area. At 5:00 p.m., a little train will roll through the entire mall carrying a bustling carnival band.
With special and festive decoration, the Suspended Garden has planned activities such as facial painting, in addition to the presence of a DJ to wow the kids with a repertoire of carnival marches and songs.
BarraShoppingSul, in Porto Alegre (RS), in partnership with the Iberê Foundation, is organizing mini-banner and mask workshops on March 2 and 3. After the workshops, there will be storytelling sessions about iconic carnival figures such as Arlecchino, Colombina and Pierrot. To conclude the activities, a carnival street group will celebrate in the Rosa dos Ventos square.
At ParkShopping Canoas, in Canoas (RS), for carnival amusement there will be a mask workshop, a children's show and even a parade of costumed pets to set the tone for the festivities. The workshops take place between February 27 and March 2 at Espaço Kids, in front of the food court. On March 2, the pet parade will roll through the Summer Arena. On Carnival Sunday, March 3, it will be the turn of a Kid's Ball in the Events Center, with right to a live show, dressing room with makeup and decorative items, an animator and a DJ.
ParkShoppingBarigüi in Curitiba (PR), promotes the KidsFolia on March 2 and 3, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The musicians of the Tupi Pererê band will agitate kids with a presentation of re-readings of traditional songs and music from their own repertoire. During the band breaks, DJs will command the party with soundtracks that will stir up the children's bash over the two days of the event. Children can enjoy a face painting and incredible hair styling dressing room to make their costumes incredibly fun to wear and the carnival even more colorful. There will also be tables and chairs for visitors and a food court.
This year, ParkShopping (DF) will bring the original rhythms of the Pernambuco carnival to Brasilia, through the My First Frevinho event on March 3. With a thematic setting, children's music and the traditional carnival beats from Recife and Olinda, amusement is assured for both kids and their families. Accompanying the revelers will be the famous giant doll of Olinda, along with other attractions.
Anyone in Minas Gerais for the carnival period can take their children to enjoy the revelry at Pátio Savassi, in Belo Horizonte (MG). On March 2, the mall offers free kids’ workshops to learn how to create personalized costumes – and even serves as a warm up before entering the famous Bolinha Preta children's street carnival parade on the street next to the mall.
