After two years without the popular June-season parties, the traditional “arraiás” festas are finally back at Multiplan's shopping centers, featuring copious typical foods, attractions, Brazilian country-style dancing and lots of fun things to do. In Rio de Janeiro, BarraShopping promoted, from July 15-17, a traditional Julina party with typical foods, music, games and much more! The event was in the outdoor park, near gate M1, and had a thematic space set up especially for the date. Visitors strolled through a charming scenographic village harboring back to little country towns, with colorful houses and a tiny church in an Instagrammable scene set - ideal to take fun pictures and guarantee posts on social networks. In addition, every day a quadrilha (type of local square dance) and a folkloric group enlivened the event. Fun was also guaranteed with a mechanical bull and traditional pastimes, such as fishing, clown mouth and ring game. All this was enlivened to the sound of forró pé-de-serra shows by Bloco da Terreirada, the Mala e Cuia band, and the Raíz do Sana group.
The party season is also in full swing at ParkJacarepagua (RJ). Between July 22-24, a little piece of the Brazilian Northeast arrives at the region's largest shopping center as the "Arraiá SESC" event. It will take place in the shopping center's parking lot, with typical foods, local bands playing forró music, and lots of fun in a thematic scenario, complete with colorful houses, a little church, a bonfire, and a scenographic balloon, where the public will be able to taste the best regional and typical foods for this time of the year. In addition, the event will also feature a handicraft fair, a baby-care area with special toys, and lots of fun. During all the days of the arraiá, the arrastapé (foot-dragging dance) will be on the bill through shows by Bicho de Pé, Os Conterrâneos and Forroçacana.
Also in Rio de Janeiro, the "Arraiá SESC" also will land at ParkShoppingCampoGrande, with the traditional and long-awaited Julina do Mal party. On July 29, 30, and 31, customers will be able to enjoy a picturesque setting, with typical foods, bonfire, games, and folkloric presentations. To rock the arraiá, there will be shows by forró trios and the bands Raiz do Sana, Marimelo, Xote Carioca, and Mimoso, with a DJ during the breaks. The event takes place in the mall's parking lot, near the lake, and admission is free.
In Jundiaí (SP), JundiaíShopping’s arraiá promises great emotions during the whole month of July, including a scenographic windmill and bonfire, as well as many activities for the little ones. To kick off the fun, customers can enjoy a trip on a little train through the entire staging, followed by rides on a charming carousel. The kids can perfect their aim in the gift tent, which runs games typical of this time of the year, such as fishing, rings, and clowns' mouths. The event takes place on the Nove de Julho floor, is free of charge, and to have access to the arraiá you just need to redeem the coupon through the Multi app.
MorumbiShopping, in São Paulo (SP), was not left out of the June festivities and held, from June 23-July 3, a big "arraiá" with typical food, games and the traditional dances.
