Multiplan collected 70 tons in donations to help victims of heavy rains in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro. The company donated 60 tons of cleaning and personal care items and mineral water. In this action, which is part of the SOS Petrópolis campaign, Multiplan partnered with Ypê and Minalba Brasil. The donations were delivered on Thursday (February 24), at a unit of the Instituto Corrente do Bem, in the city located in Rio state’s mountainous region.
The five Multiplan shopping centers in Rio de Janeiro - BarraShopping, NewYorkCityCenter, VillageMall, ParkJacarepaguá and ParkShoppingCampoGrande - also participated in the SOS Petrópolis campaign and have already collected more than 10 tons in donations, likewise being delivered to the institution supported by Multiplan.
Ten days after the storm, the activity of the Corrente do Bem Institute is focused on donations for children, such as diapers, milk and toys. Among the items already collected in the malls are non-perishable provisions, cleaning materials and personal hygiene products. The malls also continue to receive packages of dog and cat food, which will be donated to the Rio Eco Pets institution.
