Multiplan has been put on BTG Pactual's first sustainable ETF (Exchange-traded Fund), which started trading on Brazil’s B3 stock Exchange this month. Indexed to the S&P/B3 ESG - index launched in September this year in partnership between S&P Dow Jones and B3 - the fund is comprised of 96 shares of companies that have the best environmental, social and governance practices in Brazil.

The creation of the ETF ESG by BTG (ESGB11) intends to offer options to investors looking to invest in diversified funds, which include the best ESG practices (acronym for Environmental, Social and Governance). It also aims to encourage these practices in Brazilian companies. Stock selection is based on the ESG score of S&PDJI in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA).

Inclusion in ESGB11 strengthens and reaffirms Multiplan's various initiatives to expand and improve ESG practices in its strategy. Sustainable practices are natural choices for the Company, considering its approach of developing projects with a long-term outlook. In addition to promoting the integration of shopping malls with nature, the Company invests in reducing its carbon footprint and in the generation and consumption of clean energy, with emphasis on VillageMall, 100% supplied by a photovoltaic plant.

Multiplan also values the relationship with the communities in which it operates, maintaining projects focused on the well-being of employees, partners and customers. It also acts to constantly improve processes, communication with stakeholders and internal policies, and was elected by analysts and investors for the fourth consecutive year as the most recognized company in the sector in Latin America, including for its IR and ESG programs.
