Multiplan launched the Multi superapp at BarraShoppingSul, in Porto Alegre (RS), on June 18. With a marketplace integrated into the application, in addition to other services, customers will be able to buy from the mall's stores and receive orders within two hours at the address of their choice within a delivery radius of 6 km. For ordering meals in restaurants, the delivery time is up to 1 hour. The mall is the Company's fifth enterprise to gain this functionality, which allows clients to purchase products from any BarraShoppingSul store.
The Multi app has a series of features and offers convenience to customers of Multiplan's shopping malls, who can consult in real time during their visits or even plan their activities at the mall from home.
The application also allows clients to enter into direct contact with shops that are operating through the drive-thru system via WhatsApp to place the order and schedule the pick-up.
Multi's marketplace function is available in four other malls besides BarraShoppingSul: BarraShopping, in Rio de Janeiro, and MorumbiShopping, ShoppingAnáliaFranco and ShoppingVilaOlímpia, in São Paulo. To optimize the integration of tenants on the platform and guarantee the excellence of the logistics operation, Multiplan has established a partnership with the Delivery Center startup.
“We launched Multi less than a year ago, in August 2019, and we already are seeing significant results. On Valentine's Day, the shopping malls registered a new record for orders, surpassing Easter, which until now had been responsible for the largest volume. Now, we continue to expand our superapp, offering more tenants the support to integrate their physical retail with digital operations. In addition to being an additional channel for retailers, Multi also is an option that offers convenience and security for customers, especially in the current scenario,” says Daniel Peres Chor, Director of Innovation and Digital Business at Multiplan.
