Once again, Multiplan was the winner in the ICSC Global Awards, organized by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Held on October 13 of this year, the Council awarded the Golden Trophy in the Design and Development category to the company for the ParkShopping Canoas project in Canoas (RS). The development presents a new shopping center concept: fully integrated with its exterior, it has direct access to Getúlio Vargas Park, besides an event center and a wide diversity of shops, food and entertainment attractions.
Held annually, the award recognizes best practices and best projects in a number of categories. Founded in 1957, ICSC is the global trade association of the shopping center industry and has more than 70,000 members in over 100 countries. The organization helps ensure that the retail real estate industry is widely recognized for the important role it plays in bolstering the vitality of the social, civic and economic development of communities around the world.
Opened in November 2017, ParkShoppingCanoas merges nature, entertainment and commerce, and has won several prizes in its first year of operation. The project also stands out for its focus on sustainability, using advanced energy efficiency technologies, a sewage treatment plant and water reuse system.
Multiplan is notable for its history of international awards. In 2014, VillageMall won Gold in the category "Design and Development: New Ventures and Sustainable Project." As early as 2016, Multiplan won Gold in Marketing for the company's 40-year campaign, and the VillageMall mall took Silver in Public Relations through the VillageMall VIP relationship program.
