One of the sweetest and most anticipated dates of the year, Easter has arrived at the Multiplan Group's malls, with many activities. The events promise to entertain the entire family, especially children.
From March 23 to April 1, the DiamondMall in Belo Horizonte (MG), offers a special and free program for children aged 4 to 12, with cooking and art workshops. The kids can venture out and put their hands in the dough for recipes to make pot pies, chocolate creams, carrot cakes on the cone, Italian straw and chocolate cakes. The setting was prepared exclusively to encourage kids to create their sweets in an educational manner — but without forgetting to have fun.
Patio Savassi, in Belo Horizonte (MG), is organizing workshops to personalize Easter Bunny dens (March 24, 25, 30 and 31 (from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.). The children can decorate their rabbit hole with colorful ornaments and learn about each symbol: butterflies, Spring, rabbits and eggs. In addition, the kids get made up with rabbit noses and whiskers at the beginning of the workshop. And, at the end, they get three mini-eggs as gifts, as well as a bag to pack them in and take home.
BH Shopping, also in Belo Horizonte (MG), has put together an Easter Village, where the famous Easter Bunny lives, viewable until April 1. The charming German-themed locale is divided into four environments: the Magic Well, into which the children throw toy coins and make their wishes; the Toy Shop, a place where the little ones are transformed into bunnies (with ears and painted faces); a Confectionery, where they participate in an egg-spoon workshop and whip up their own Easter sweets; and the Rabbit's own house.
Between March 21 and April 1, ParkShoppingSãoCaetano, in São Caetano do Sul (SP), also is running culinary workshops for children. The kids can make chocolate-covered carrot cupcakes or chocolate cookies. In addition, activities such as painting themed designs, a pool filled with balloons and a photo setting with the Easter Bunny are available to visitors. On Saturday, March 24, the mall offered a special attraction for kids: an Easter Egg Hunt. They were given little baskets containing the first location tip and, accompanied by a responsible grownup, took off through the mall seeking the eggs. There were six stages, each with a joke and a new tip. Upon completing each activity, the child won a chocolate egg and tips for searching the next stage. All the activities were free.
At ParkShopping, in Brasilia (DF), children from 3 to 12 years old participate for free of the Eggs in Wonderland Hunt inspired by the magical universe of Lewis Carroll. The little ones enter a fantasy-filled adventure of the Alice and White Rabbit characters in a circuit of activities that begins with the unusual Bunny Hole, passes by the charming Tea Table, then through the confusing Chocolate-smelling Labyrinth, to finally reach the final destination, the Flower Garden, where children are challenged to find chocolate eggs to take home.
For the second consecutive year, Shopping Vila Olímpia, in São Paulo (SP), is promoting the "Evenings on the Terrace - Easter" activity. During the afternoons of April 24 and 25, Shopping Terrace will be transformed into a totally customized space for children from 2 to 8 years old, with activities such as slacklines, string games, ball bouncing, thematic cupcakes workshop and face painting that can turn all the little ones into Easter bunnies. The outdoor space is open to the public from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and a Baby Space is also available.
The story of Peter Rabbitt, which was turned into a movie and premiered in theaters on March 22, served as inspiration for VillageMall, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). From March 17 to April 1, children from 4 to 12 years can participate in a circuitous route with a series of fun challenges. The activity begins with a remote control cart where the kids have to put each rabbit into its lair. Whoever completes the challenge moves on to the next stage: to go through the "scary" fence without hitting it, as Peter Rabbitt does when fleeing Mr. Mc Gregor's garden. The next phase is delicious: the children arrive at the greenhouse, where they learn to prepare the pot of chocolate, a sweet reward for those who complete the circuit. For children from 18 months to three years of age, there is a special space, featuring a clayworking area, puppets and reading sessions from the Peter Rabbitt Book.
On March 30/31 and April 1, ParkShoppingCampoGrande, also in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), is putting on (starting at 2 p.m.), sessions of Easter workshops for a children's audience, characterized by facial painting (non-toxic paint), colorings, rabbit ears and chocolate treats.
